ON CLASSY HOTELS:
more and more... i'm really starting to question the practice that videogame publishers have adhered to at every press event i've yet been invited to. you see, they put us up at ridiculous hotels...
...and it's absolutely pointless. well, for me anyway.
sure, i'm always bummed if i can't get a broadband connection in my room...but jesus, some of these places are obscene. the viceroy, our hotel from the previous evening, is no exception. basically, it doesn't work on me, i've decided. the rooms are nice, sure...but i simply spend the whole time questioning the point. and, personally, i'm rarely impressed that a giant corporation can afford to put us up in nice rooms...
but really, i realize that in actuality... i just need a girlfriend. maybe a nice young lady would be impressed by such glitz and glamour. if nothing else, it'd be nice to have somebody to share the experience with. what a waste...
marble bathrooms, king-sized beds, and sunken living rooms are no cure for loneliness.
